For its 10th edition, in a carnivalesque atmosphere and surrounded by lanterns, the Rivières de Lumières festival brings you to the place of its genesis, the rue Well Sud. Under the theme of phantasmagorical plants, the event invites you to build a flamboyant lantern and join us downtown.
We’ll be waiting for you at the new Place Kassiwi, where we’ll be celebrating 10 years with a host of beloved characters from the past and present. That’s right! Foumar, Doltra and Ali will be back, along with Mère Mer and many other nods to the past. This year, we invite you to follow a puppet-plant who, despite the help of her gardener, is slow to grow. Will the plant succeed in blooming by the end of the parade?
Théâtre des Petites Lanternes invites you to join our luminous and eclectic universe, which will end with a festive finale at the Night Market!

It’s time to light the way! Transform yourself into a phantasmagorical plant by creating a lantern in floral form, and move towards the gathering point with your lantern! You can make your own at our lantern workshops or at home, and even take part in the Desjardins Lantern Contest.
